NYT Mini Crossword #4,458 for Tuesday, November 3, 2026: a 5 by 5 grid with 10 clues, 5 across and 5 down, and answers 4 to 5 letters long. Each answer stays hidden above until you ask.
How the Mini works
The Mini is the New York Times’s small daily crossword: a grid of five squares by five, with about ten clues, that most people finish in a minute or two. Saturday’s puzzle is bigger, seven by seven. Across answers read left to right, and down answers read top to bottom, and each answer shares letters with the ones that cross it.
How to use this page
Under the heading are the day’s across and down clues, each with the number of letters in its answer in brackets. Choose Show answer, or the clue itself, to open that clue’s own page. There the answer is hidden behind blank tiles: choose a tile to see just that letter, or reveal the whole answer.
A clue’s page also lists the other puzzles that used the same clue for the same answer.
Solving a Mini quickly
Start with the clues you can answer without a doubt, such as fill-in-the-blanks and short abbreviations, then use the crossing letters for the rest. When one clue will not give, move to the one that crosses it: an answer revealed here is a good way to see how the wordplay worked without giving up the whole grid.
