Can it solve a crossword clue?
Yes, if the clue was in an NYT Crossword, Mini or Midi puzzle we cover. Type it and we link to its page, where the answer stays hidden until you ask. Add the letters you know or the length to keep only the answers that fit. We match the clue’s words, not its meaning, but case, accents, quotes and punctuation don’t matter.
Which words does it search?
First, the answers from the NYT Crossword, Mini and Midi puzzles we cover that fit your letters, names and phrases included, each linked to its clue page. Then nearly 270,000 words of 2 to 15 letters from the Scrabble US, Scrabble UK and Words with Friends dictionaries, which have no names, places or phrases.
What if I don’t know any letters yet?
Give just the length and we list every word that long, a page at a time.
